Pac Man has brothers!

We have a "game room" upstairs in our house. In this part of the country this particular type of room is called the Texas basement. I think that's because almost no houses in Texas actually have basements so they instead build a large multi-purpose room on the second floor to compensate. In our particular Texas basement we have several things. We have a television and two chairs, a bow-flex exercise machine, an old kitchen table we were hoping to fix up and a Pac Man coin-op arcade machine. The Pac Man machine was made in 1980 so it's over 25 years old now. It's still in really great shape and works perfectly. It's definitely the conversation piece when company comes over.

I work at a video game studio and we have a small arcade of machines that we recently auctioned off to make more room in the building. I won three of the items in the auction: A sinistar arcade machine (needs to be fixed), a Luner Lander (classic) arcade machine which also needs to be fixed, and a Star Trek: The Next Generation pinball machine, which needs to be fixed but not as much as the other two. In about an hour or two I'm going to be heading out to the office to meet up with a coworker who also won an arcade machine and we're going to load all of the machines onto his trailer and deliver them. So long as his trailer is large enough, it shouldn't be too difficult with a cart and an applicance dolly. The hard part will be getting them upstairs once we get to the house. Ugh.

I'll update this with some pictures when I get back this afternoon.
